Opera Hong Kong Children Chorus proudly present an original musical specially written for Hong Kong from November 28 to 30, 2025, at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre.

Just before the turn of the millennium, Hong Kong received a precious gift from Mainland China: giant pandas An An and Jia Jia. The two pandas enjoyed their new home together as the people of Hong Kong warmly welcomed them. Eight years later, Ying Ying and Le Le followed, and An An and Jia Jia were there to greet them. At first, the newcomers were excited by the bustling city, but soon they faced the challenges of homesickness and adapting to a new environment. An An and Jia Jia comforted them, sharing their own experiences while helping them discover the unique beauty of Hong Kong. As Ying Ying and Le Le slowly settled in, they began exploring the city together. Subtly, a romance blossomed between them. It was only when disaster struck—through a typhoon and a pandemic—that their bond truly deepened. Le Le’s unwavering care for the ailing Ying Ying allowed their love to flourish, eventually leading to a miracle: the birth of Hong Kong’s first panda twins, Jia Jia and De De. Having finally found a home in each other, the pandas embraced life in Hong Kong. Later, Mainland China sent two more pandas, Ke Ke and another An An. With their growing family, the pandas came together to celebrate, reveling in the joy and vibrant culture of Hong Kong.
