Once upon a time, in a desert kingdom far, far away, there was a king named Zion who had a beautiful wife. One day, he caught her in the arms of another man. In his madness, he exiled her into the desert. To take revenge upon all women, he ordered his vizier to send him a young maiden every night to marry, but in the morning, he would cast them out into the desert, never to return. Seeing the troubles upon the kingdom and her father, Scheherazade, the vizier’s daughter, offered herself to the king. On the night of their marriage, Scheherazade began telling the king a story, but she would not end it before dawn. Wanting to hear the ending, King Zion postponed her exile until the next day so that Scheherazade could end the story. This went on for many nights, and if Scheherazade ended a story, she would immediately begin another. Scheherazade told King Zion the stories of The Hunchback’s Tale, Ali Baba & the Forty Thieves, and Princess Nuri & the Three Princes until she had no stories left to tell. Will King Zion finally exile her, or did the king learn an important lesson from her stories?
